Smart Styles & Tones

How LotusQ adapts its writing style to each application you use.

What Are Smart Styles?

LotusQ detects which application you're typing in and automatically adjusts its formatting style. An email in Outlook gets formal prose, a Slack message stays casual, and code comments in VS Code stay technical.

Available Styles

Casual

Conversational, light punctuation

"Hey, hope your week started well"

Formal

Full sentences, proper grammar

"I hope this message finds you well."

Coding

Technical terms, backtick code

"Initialize the `config` object"

Personal

Short, informal, emoji-friendly

"sounds good! 👍"

Raw

No AI processing, pure ASR output

"um yeah so the thing is..."

Customizing Styles Per App

Open Styles in the sidebar to configure which style applies to each app category (work, email, coding, personal). LotusQ groups detected applications into these categories automatically.

💡 Toggle Auto-Detect Style off in Settings to use a single default style everywhere.
